I like to see things from a distance, from up high. For years I wanted a place with a view. I envisioned myself sitting at a desk writing my latest novel, looking out over the wide countryside, at the blue ocean sparkling on the horizon. As much as I desired this picture, deep inside, I knew it would not make me happy, it would not fulfill me. I realized it was me that needed to change, not the view outside my window.
By rising up above my limited perception, I was able to shift my awareness, and to accept myself and my life. I discovered contentment, happiness, joy, peace, and fulfillment. I am now able to connect with what I love; people, writing, and growth. What needed to change wasn’t outside me, it was in me. I created a place with a view, and it is so much more brilliant than anything I could ever have imagined.
